Fast & Crispy Air Fried Shrimp With Keto Cocktail Sauce

Curb those cravings with a keto friendly and delicious air-fried shrimp lunch. Complement it with a summertime cocktail sauce that won’t break your diet.

If your are craving a crispy seafood lunch that will satisfy your fried food cravings, then this is the recipe for you! You can multiply the recipe to increase the servings, but fry the shrimp in batches if the space gets too tight in the air fryer.

Ingredients

Fried Shrimp Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (about 2 1/8 oz.) keto-friendly almond flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons crushed black pepper
  • 2 large free-range eggs
  • 2/3 cup Shredded Parmesan
  • 8 large peeled and deveined raw shrimp, tail on
  • Cooking spray
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Keto-Friendly Cocktail Sauce Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar-free ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons prepared horseradish

Shrimp Cooking Instructions

Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

Spread half of the almond flour onto a plate, and crack the eggs into a separate bowl. Whisk the eggs. On a second plate, to the right of the eggs, mix together the remaining flour, salt and shredded parmesan.

Coat both sides of the shrimp with the almond flour, then dip into the eggs. Lightly shake the excess egg off of the shrimp and roll them into the almond flour and parmesan mixture.

Place the shrimp into the air fryer basket, and make sure the shrimp are not touching. Spray them with the cooking oil spray.

Cook the shrimp for 8 minutes, tossing halfway through the cooking time.

Dump the shrimp from the basket into your preferred serving dish and plate with the sauce you will prepare in the next steps.

Combine all of the sauce ingredients into a small bowl, and stir until mixed well.

Transfer to a small/decorative dipping dish, or just serve from the bowl for minimal effort and less dishes to wash.
